Intended Audience and Operational Approach
The summit will be orchestrated by a Preparatory Committee consisting of thirty (30) members, who are ICT specialists from a variety of esteemed institutions. These include UNAM, NUST, GIZ, NAMCOL, NIED, Glowdom, Genius Education Software, MTC, NCRST, MoEAC, and DoEAC. This diverse committee ensures a holistic approach to the summit, drawing on expertise from multiple sectors to enhance the integration of ICT in education.
The Regional ICT Summit and Exhibitions is set to welcome approximately 350 participants, including:
- 20 specially invited guests from the Ministry of Education, Arts & Culture, local academicians, ICT experts, ICT service providers, and ICT-focused NGOs
- 14 Regional Directors
- 52 educators including one learner from other Regional Directorates across 13 regions (4 educators per region)
- 270 participants including one learner from the 90 schools (both state and private) in the host Otjozondjupa region (3 participants per school)
The summit will feature morning sessions dedicated to talks in the main hall, while the afternoons will be reserved for side events such as skills training, demonstrations, and exhibitions. Participants will be divided into groups of 30-50, each led by a group leader and rapporteur. These groups will rotate through designated breakout rooms, laboratories, and exhibition stalls.
